Remembering First Lady Barbara Bush
First Lady, Second Lady, Tranquility, or “The Enforcer” are many of the titles former First Lady Barbara Bush has been called throughout her life, but the ones she was most proud of were wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. To many of us who worked at the White House, we saw first hand how Mrs. Bush’s leadership and dedication to her family and advancing family literacy changed the lives of millions. We watched as she advocated for issues she cared deeply about and fiercely defended those she loved.
Many of us at Nahigian Strategies had the opportunity to work with her throughout her career and those opportunities made all of us better people. We hope to remember her by putting forth the same dedication and energy into our work as she did to hers. America lost a true patriot yesterday.
