Prescription drug abuse is one of our nation’s most deadly epidemics. Nahigian Strategies was instrumental in coalescing the leading representatives of our nation’s drug supply chain to establish the Alliance to Prevent the Abuse of Medicines (APAM) to address this public health challenge. As the only industry-led coalition focused on this issue with membership across the entire supply chain, APAM partners with legislators to craft achievable solutions and serves as a resource for policymakers and the media on this complex epidemic.
Working closely with leaders and media on the state and federal level, NS has amplified APAM’s message through placements in well-read beltway publications including Politico, Roll Call, and National Journal and high-level summits with partners like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. APAM’s members include: The American Medical Association (AMA), Cardinal Health, CVS Health, the Healthcare Distribution Management Association, Kaleo Pharma, Millennium Health, Prime Therapeutics and Teva Pharmaceuticals.
